THE TOWN COUNCIL OF LOS ALCÁZARES BEGINS ITS CAMPAIGN TO PROMOTE THE VALUES OF FAIR PLAY IN GRASSROOTS SPORT

Los Alcázares is fair play". With this slogan, the aim is to promote values and good practices among athletes, coaches, referees, monitors and spectators of the many sporting disciplines that take place in the municipality. To this end, various actions will be carried out, which have begun with the placement of large canvases in different sports facilities.

Five large tarpaulins at municipal sports facilities

The Town Hall is installing tarpaulins on the municipal football pitches La Torre, the 13 October pavilion, the Sala Escolar pavilion, the Agustín Hernández Imbernón Municipal Tennis Club and the Los Narejos Pavilion.

More than 600 federated, more than 400 non-federated, more than 8,000 participants in sporting events throughout the year 2022, from athletics to skating, through tennis, basketball, handball, football, judo, karate, cycling, volleyball, biketrial or chess.

"With this volume of sport in our municipality, a campaign of this kind was more than necessary, although for the same reason, it is true that the people of Alcazar are an example of competitiveness. However, our job is to continue to emphasise that sport is health in every sense of the word, while always maintaining healthy competition and understanding with our opponents," said Sports Councillor Pedro Lamas.

Talks aimed at sports clubs and schools

The campaign is completed with the launch of various talks aimed at sports clubs and schools, with the participation of elite sportsmen and women, specialising in sports psychology, among others.
