The first municipal rest area for motorhomes in the Mar Menor is opened
The first free rest area for motorhomes on the coast of the Region of Murcia has been opened in Los Alcázares. Users of these facilities will be able to stay overnight for a maximum of 72 hours completely free of charge.
The new rest area offers users different services such as drinking water, emptying of grey water, emptying of sewage and a picnic area. It has also been included in the AreasAC app and website, an important portal that groups together the service areas and car parks available for motorhomes in Spain and the rest of Europe.
This new facility is located in the old bus station, with a connection to the AP-7, an area that has been refurbished: the fencing has been repaired, the lighting improved, the signage improved and the trees trimmed. This will enhance the tourist offer of our municipality.
With these more than 30 new places, the municipality of Los Alcázares now has nearly 500 places available, between public and private, for itinerant tourism, a type of tourism that is booming after the pandemic.
